As plain as Syria meadows, as fresh as its greens, and as rich as its sea sources
A nobleman who knows no grievance; Ghassan Masoud, the man who contained the secrets and ideas of the cities of his country to launch with them widely to the larger world.

He could go far to be one of the stars brought up by Syria to lighten over the Arab World and to reach the universality as well; that's when he shines in the sky of Hollywood, one of the largest Capitals of Art in the world.

His Life:

Ghassan was born in 1958, in the middle of the eighties. He was appointed by Fawaz Al-Saher, a director, in one of his theatre plays in a leading role, the experiment that caused an essential shift in his life. He moved on with his roles in an absolute indulgence with his characters, beginning from "Albrekhtiyah", one of Sa'ad Wannous' works, to "Altchikhovi World", one of Jawad Al-Asadi's works, from "Sukkan Al-Kahf" in 1986, to the theater play "Sada" for which he won a Best Actor award at the (Carthage) Festival in 2001.

Theatre & TV:

Ghassan Masoud is one of the founders of Arab-African Center for Research theater, which is located in Tunisia.

He has many works in drama & theater, varying in acting, directing, teaching or writing in all aspects, locally, Arab and international levels.

He could make a very good work when he acted brilliant roles in the plays: "Sukkan Al-Kahf", "Taqasim Ala Al-Anbar", "Al-Ightisab", & "Sada". He has also directed the following outstanding plays: "King Lear", "Kussour" & "Arabah Ismoha Al-Raghbah".

His television works include many series, the most outstanding ones are:

- "The biography of Aal Al-Jalali" by the director Haitham Haqi.
- "Thee Qar" by the director Bassem Khayyat.
- "Al-Arwah Al-Mohajirah" by the director Shawqi Al-Majiri.
- "Okhwat Al-Torab" by the director Shawqi Al-Majiri.
- "Al-Hajjaj" by the director Mohammad Aziziyah.
- "Zekrayat Al-Zaman Al-Qadem" for the director Haitham Haqi.

However, theater remains Massoud‘s first and last passion, the place from which he started his career that was going forward successfully in (Fayha’a Al-Sham) when he was a professor at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts seventeen years ago.

Cinema:

Ghassan Massoud gets famous globally after his role as (Saladin) in the movie "Kingdom of heaven" by Ridley Scott In 2005.

Another global and Hollywood work he shares was "The Pirates of the Caribbean".

Ghassan joined the following two works:
- Wadi Al-Zi'ab.
- Al-Farashah

·         On Egyptian Cinema:

- Zooba.
- Al-Wa'ad.

·         On Iranian Cinema:

- Al-Motabaqqi.

- The Tale of Ma'arouf Al-Iskafi.

·         On French Cinema:

- Fatat Sharqiyah.

Ghassan Masoud was honored in Washington, France, Turkey, Iran, Egypt, & Russia. Today, he is preparing to go into Fox Studios through a movie named The Devil's Double, by Lee Kamhora.
